Policies & Procedures

Required Consultation: New clients residing here will have a scheduled phone consultation, typically lasting between 5 to 15 minutes. This session allows us to introduce ourselves, understand your reasons for seeking therapeutic massage, and determine if I am the right therapist for you. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions, and if I believe another approach would better suit your needs, I’ll happily refer you to a therapist within my network.

If you’re visiting for general maintenance, a phone consultation isn’t necessary.
However, if you’re experiencing specific acute pain and want to address it, a phone consultation can greatly benefit your session. Please feel free to text 808-463-0897, and we’ll respond by the end of the workday or by the upcoming Friday.

Late Arrival:

If you’re late for any reason, your appointment will be shortened to ensure that the next client’s appointment starts on time. If you arrive 50% or more into your scheduled time, it will be considered a no-call/no-show, and you’ll be responsible for paying the full amount for the originally scheduled appointment. In case of an emergency, please contact the office, and we may excuse your absence. I encourage you to arrive 5-10 minutes early and to stay in touch via email, text, or phone call if you need to reschedule or cancel. This also provides an opportunity for a quick chat about new bookings or specific requests.

Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy:

To ensure we can accommodate your schedule, we encourage you to book your appointments in advance. All appointments must be prepaid. If you need to cancel, please do so at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment. Prepayments can be refunded or applied to another appointment. Any remaining balance must be used within 30 days of the scheduled appointment date. If not used within this period, it will be considered a “No show.” For cancellations made without 48 hours’ notice or a “No show,” a $30 administrative fee will be charged, and the appointment will be forfeited. Payment for Services:

We have started a new processing program, therefore a pre-payment is needed to confirm your time and date. Please call the office at 1-808-463-0897 to secure your appointment. We accept Cash, Check, Venmo, Pay Pal, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Star, Apple Pay and Google Pay. All payments are subject to Hawaii State tax at 4% and a 3% Service Fee.

Insurance:

We generally do not take any health insurance. However, some insurance companies will reimburse you after you’ve paid us if you submit a receipt to them. Please see your insurance company for their specific guidelines. We can provide a receipt if you email us your request with your name, date of service, total amount paid, and an email address to send it to.
