Policies & Procedures
Required Consultation: New clients who live here will be scheduled a phone consultation, usually lasting between 5 – 15 minutes, to give us an opportunity to introduce ourselves, learn your reasons for seeking therapeutic massage, and to determine if I am the right therapist for you. This is a great time to ask questions, and if I feel you would be better served by an approach I do not offer, I will kindly refer you to a therapist that is in my network.
-If you are visiting or just looking for general maintenance a phone consultation is not required.
If you are coming in for a specific acute pain that you would like to address. A consultation over the phone would be most beneficial for the overall session.
Late Arrival:
If you are late for any reason, your appointment will be cut short to ensure the next client’s appointment begins on time. If you are late 50% or more into your appointment, it will be considered a no call/no show, and you will be responsible for paying the full amount of your originally scheduled appointment. If you experience an emergency, please contact the office, and your appointment may be excused. I encourage you to arrive 5 – 10 minutes early, and to keep in touch by email, text, or a phone call in order to postpone or cancel. This allows for a quick chat to address anything, such as a new booking, or a request for specific work.
Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy:
We do our best to accommodate your schedule for appointments. To ensure the best appointment for you, please consider booking in advance. All appointments will need to be prepaid in advance. If you have to cancel your appointment, please cancel 48 hours before your appointment. All prepayments will be refunded or can be applied to another appointment. In addition, a balance will be applied but it is your responsibility that it gets used 30 days from the scheduled appointment. If the balance is not used within 30 days it will be considered a “No show”. If a cancellation is made without 48 hours notice, or a “no show”, the amount of the appointment will not be refunded. Payment for Services:
We require payment for all appointments at the time of booking. We accept Cash, Check, Venmo, Pay Pal, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Star, Apple Pay and Google Pay. All payments are subject to Hawaii State tax at 4% and a 3% Service Fee.

We have started a new processing program, therefore a pre-payment is needed to confirm your time and date.

Insurance:
We generally do not take any health insurance. However, some insurance companies will reimburse you after you’ve paid us if you submit a receipt to them. Please see your insurance company for their specific guidelines. We can provide a receipt if you email us your request with your name, date of service, total amount paid, and an email address to send it to.
Directions:
We are located across the street from Gammies Home Care 4 units to the Right from Americare. Signage still says on the top of the building Specific Chiropractic but will be changed soon.
